Los Lunas Museum of Heritage and Art, Opening March 1

This from NM Culture announcement list sounds like an area event to support - and check out with an eye to having our own right here in Mountainair, perhaps at the soon to be renamed campgrounds.

Dear friends,

You are cordially invited to the Opening of the new Los Lunas Museum of Heritage and Arts Saturday, March 1, 2008, Noon to 5 PM. Open to the public and featuring:

* The Civil War in NM
* Founding Families of Los Lunas
* Genealogy Resource Center

The Museum is located in the Agustin Archuleta building, 251 Main St. SE, at Main and Luna, under the water tower For information: Call: 352-7720 or email heritage@loslunasnm.gov

Where? Campgrounds seem a logical location, although I'd go for moving the library there, providing with long overdue and much needed expansion, and putting the museum at the library site as it is a building with a history.

don't you kinda wonder about wanting a museum when you don't really take the care you should of the library?
