Hello Artists and Muralists!
Don't forget the laying down of historic tiles for the historic mural this Saturday at 1 PM at the Mountain Arts on Broadway art center. It will be a unique opportunity to mingle with everyone who has played a significant part in the MMAC mural program.Refreshments will be served. Any snack contributions welcomed. RSVP would be appreciated to prepare for this cementing of tiles and artifacts. Come to watch and offer encouragement if you don't want to get your hands dirty!Tomas and Danielle
A sweetly brief retreat report from Tomas:
A short business meeting reviewed all the MMAC accomplishments of the past year, and a financial report was given. One of the main purposes of the Sweet Retreat was to make contact with our members and to get their ideas for future programs.
The forty five participants split up and met in small groups and answered some basic questions about the needs of the community (in the arts and otherwise) and our role in it. These ideas are now being discussed further in our committees and board with considerations for future action. Everyone thought the meeting went very well, especially the small group interaction which allowed people to get to know each other better!
